About the Orange Owl

Well, I guess I should tell you a bit about me.

First off, I’m not really an orange owl… sadly.  My name is Tabby and I am a 2015 college graduate; particularly one who loves to read, write, take pictures and make videos.  I majored in Communication for the reason that it was the closest major to video production at my alma mater. I also minored in Psychology, but don’t worry, I’m not analyzing you right now (well, I might be a little).  I currently work as a Library Assistant and I just completed my Master’s degree in Library and Information Science.

Let’s see… I am a lover of Apple products; I own a MacBook Pro, an orange iPod Nano 4th Gen, a green iPod Nano 3rd Gen, and a rose gold iPhone 6s.  I’m also a proud Ravenclaw.  I produce videos and do photography under my company name Natural Chance Productions & Photography and I am in partnership with the local BMX track where I make highlight videos of their races and also take pictures.  I would love working in a television studio or doing production for independent organizations while doing freelance on the side.

620908_4459590101263_1670208867_oAs for writing, I’ve had to rely heavily on my imagination for fun since I grew up as an only child and thus for the last 13 or so years I have found writing to be a good outlet for the overflow of creativity inside me.  I have written great number of original short stories, fanfiction and obviously, blogs.  The orangeowldiaries is my longest standing blog by far, and I love my little internet baby.

So what is this blog all about?  Well, it’s definitely a personal blog, with a hint of lifestyle thrown in.  I’d like to share tips as I experience my own way through life as well as give reviews of movies, books, products and any other type of thing I can give my opinion on.  I will not be writing about anything political – it bores me too much, and I don’t want to start any Internet wars.  I will, however, post about my faith on this blog from time to time, probably more often as I grow as a Christian woman.

Ha.  Woman.  I still find it weird to call myself that.  I’ll stick to ‘young lady’ – like my great-uncle used to call me.

As for why I chose “orangeowldiaries” as my blog name, here’s the simple reason.  I love orange.  I love owls.  At the time I started this blog my journal was orange with a picture of an owl on it and I had an orange owl mug that I used when I was writing.  So, therefore, orangeowldiaries.  Makes sense, right?

So that’s a little bit about me.

Now tell me something about you! :)

Yeah, I’ve been meaning to use Pintrest more. I’ve had it for so long, but I just haven’t gotten used to using it.

Hi Tabitha. We started on Bloglovin and noticed you were not there. Any reason?
The blog is looking wonderful. We really like the Sela but found it difficult to work. You have made it amazing!

Funny that I should like your blog. You’re in college and I’m retired. I just started my blog and looking at yours for inspiration. Hope you don’t mind that I copy. All I originally wanted to do was to post some of my short stories. But maybe I should reach out a bit further.

I enjoyed your About. I like reading them, and enjoyed writing my own on my blog of 3 months and counting. I am a Psychology Major, and credentialed in Neuro-Linguistic-Programing, and Dementia Care. I love life and love people. I live a positive, plant-based life. I have a son, and three grands. I volunteer working with seniors, primarily with people who have dementia. There you have a bit about me. There’s plenty more to know.

Oh! I love looking up at the stars at night.
