Zora – My Favorite SWAC Character

It seems so long ago that I was obsessed with the Disney show, Sonny With a Chance.  If you don’t know it, then I should tell you that it’s one of the major Disney projects that Demi Lovato worked on (alongside the Camp Rock movies).  And I will be frank, I’m not a Demi Lovato fan at all.  Yes, I like a few of her songs, but she’s by no means one of my favorite artists.

I came about watching Sonny With A Chance by accident (meaning that there was nothing else on and I found parts of the show funny).  But what really caught me was the Continue reading

Recent Reads [April 2017]

April has been a weird month for reading.  At first, I was on a roll and suddenly around the last week and a half of the month, I just went into a slump.  I was able to read one more book during my slump, but the last few days I haven’t read at all.  I’ve just been antagonizing over what book to read next.

Because of the slump that hit, I only read four books, which I know is about my average, but Continue reading

Yes, I Read Young Adult Books

I know that there really are no “age restrictions” when it comes to reading, but that it’s more of a social concept of what kinds of books you should read as you get older.  With my twenty-sixth birthday coming up in just a few days, I’m considered to be an adult, though really I’m still learning my way.

Still, adults (who are actually adults) who are a few generations ahead of myself will probably Continue reading

Ways to Be Wicked [song review]

At long last the first release from the Disney Descendants 2 soundtrack has been released!  Well, it was released on April 14th, but still.  It’s within the first month and I’ve had the song on repeat  since I bought it last week.  It’s very catchy!

Although I’m enjoying the song a lot, I sincerely doubt it will be the best song of the upcoming movie.  But it has me excited to see what is going to happen.   Continue reading

Veggietales, one of the most enjoyable ways for kids to learn bits of the Bible – at least when I was a kid.  The Veggietales I’ve briefly seen on now doesn’t compare to the original, but I do understand that things change over time.

I was first introduced to Veggietales by one of my older cousins, as she really loved Continue reading

My post was easy to figure out today because I woke up with this song stuck in my head for no apparent reason.  It’s funny actually because I haven’t watched The Lion King 2 in over a year!  For that song to suddenly be stuck in my head all morning is just weird!

I have heard that not a lot of people liked the sequel, but I love it just as much.  I thought the story-line was good, even if there were Continue reading

TV Shows I Miss

For the most part, TV Shows today don’t live up to the ones that my generation and those before me grew up with.  In fact, a lot of them are just terrible.  And any that are good are ending soon or have ended within the past year.  More and more I find myself missing the shows I watched growing up and as a teenager, and I wish that these shows were still on for today’s youth. Continue reading

How to Eat a Cupcake [book review]

Funny, free-spirited Annie Quintana and sophisticated, ambitious Julia St. Clair come from two different worlds. Yet, as the daughter of the St. Clair’s housekeeper, Annie grew up in Julia’s San Francisco mansion and they forged a bond that only two little girls who know nothing of class differences and scholarships could—until a life-altering betrayal destroyed their friendship.

Reading Habits Tag

Happy Friday everyone!  I know that Friday isn’t always the end of the workweek for most people, myself included, but there is a sense of peace that comes with it being Friday.  I can’t tell you why that is, but I just know it’s there.

Today I’ll be doing the Reading Habits Tag that I found on Dreamland Book Blog as my “R” entry for April.  I kid you not, the first word I thought of for a post was ‘read’ so I’m going with it.  No overthinking today. Continue reading

Quotes I Love

It’s getting close to the end of the month, and the alphabet for the A to Z Challenge!  I’m excited that I’ve made it this far without missing a day of posting!  I have to say, going by the alphabet has given me some good specks of content and it’s helping me to be more observant in what I can use for blog topics.   Continue reading
