Swagbucks – a way to earn extra cash

I did a post about two years ago about making money online and a few different ways you can go about doing it.  While those four sites you can find on that post are still legitimate ways to do this, there is one that I found to be my favorite – Swagbucks.

Join Swagbucks!
Swagbucks provides a number of different ways you can earn points towards cash or gift cards.  You can search the Internet using their search engine, browse directed sites, sign up for free trials or other programs at discounted prices, take surveys, play games and watch videos.  I have done all but play games since you do have to pay for most of them.

To give an example, I joined Spotify Premium through Swagbucks at the end of 2015 during their ‘three months of premium for a dollar’ promotion.  I earned 500 Swagbucks ($5) for taking this offer.  I also earned 400 SB when I signed up for a Target debit card and 1500 SB for signing up as an Avon Rep last year.

Also, over the last few weeks due to some serious survey taking and the new Daily To-Do List, I’ve earned up enough points to get over $50 worth of gift cards.  I’ve already used one of them, but I have another coming my way in a few days.

Though you can cash out at 2500 SB for $25 Paypal Cash, I prefer to go with gift cards for either Starbucks, Amazon, or Barnes & Noble.  Swagbucks definitely is worth signing up for and earning some side cash.  No, you won’t get rich off of this, but if you are able to cash out a few times you can save the money for Christmas or something else you’re saving up for.

So if you’re interested, you can sign up here and start earning!

Have you tried Swagbucks or another similar site?  Thoughts?

Wow, thanks for the tip! I was looking over at your tagline and thinking “me too”. I’m an introvert, sorted Ravenclaw and I was always the nerdy kid with a book by his side. I’m not a library assistant but I am a legal assistant so that’s pretty close. I’m also definitely not a cat.

I don’t think that we have Swagbucks over here in the UK. We have some similar sites but I’ve never really made any progress with them to make it worthwhile spending the time doing the surveys and things.

One of the best ones I found was BzzAgent where you get freebies to review. I’ve got some good, and useful things that way.

Good read! Have been using Swagbucks but if I’m honest I prefer the small community feel of GrindaBuck! Each to their own, thanks for the article!
