Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it?  Well, good news, it’s not.  There are a few places online where you can take surveys and get paid for it.

Now, I’m just making my return to the world of getting paid to take surveys.  I had done this years ago when I was a teenager through a great little site called teenseyes.com where I would take surveys about different topics and received checks in the mail when I had earned enough points (which does take a while).  The topics were very interesting.  In fact, I remember that one of the surveys I took was to preview a new TV that Disney Channel was pitching to have aired and guess which show that was… Hannah Montana.  Yeah, I got to see the first episode of Hannah Montana through a TeensEyes survey before the show even aired!

However, now that I’m in my early 20s, I obviously cannot participate in TeensEyes anymore.  The good news for us adults is that there are plenty of online surveys through other sites that require you to be 18 years or older to partake in and thanks to the blog post ‘Make Money Online‘ by Coupons and Freebies Mom, I found a few different places where I can take surveys and get paid (though I only use a select few of them).

So here are the ones I use and would definitely recommend…

MyPoints.com – this one is included on the Coupons and Freebies Mom blog post, however I have actually been a member of MyPoints for many years now.  While you don’t earn cash for clicking the emails and taking the occasional survey, you do earn points that you can eventually cash in for gift cards for a variety of places including Olive Garden, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, Amazon, Chili’s, GameStop, and so many more!

InboxDollars.com – I recently joined this and have just redeemed my first payout of a little over $30.  It’s not much for the amount of time it took me to earn it, but it’s something I wouldn’t have if I didn’t put the time into it.  I would recommend this site for anyone interested, and you get a $5 bonus for signing up!

Opinion Outpost – Save the best for last, right?  I love this site the most out of the three!  It’s very easy to navigate and use and it’s by far the site I’ve qualified for the most surveys.  You can redeem your points for as low as $5 through Amazon or iTunes or get a minimum payout of $10 cash through PayPal.

Now if you’re thinking of this as a ‘get-rich-quick’ scheme, then stop right there because while it does seem like an easy money-making job, it actually takes some time to earn the money.  I can tell you right now that you are not going to qualify for every survey so you won’t be earning money for every survey you click on… only if you qualify and finish it.  That’s not meant to discourage you though.  Taking surveys online is still a way to earn a little extra cash to satisfy your weekly coffee habits or to save for something you have your eye on.  It will just take a bit of time… unless you have all the time in the world to take surveys, then I guess you can make money pretty quickly.

Either way, these are just a few that I personally enjoy and recommend.  If you’re looking for something different than these or just another few options, then refer to Coupon and Freebie Mom’s post I linked to earlier.  If you’re between the ages of 13-18, or have a child in this age range, then I definitely, definitely recommend TeensEyes.com, especially for those under 16 and cannot legally work just yet.
