I got off to a good start this year, reaching a tenth of my goal for the year. So far I’ve read one non-fiction book and three fiction. Unfortunately, my TBR list keeps growing and growing. I guess that’s one of the downfalls of working in a library – the list of books to read reaches an impossible high. Continue reading
This past week has been, well… quite a week. For me, it’s been both stressful and eye-opening.
My entire life I’ve felt like I was the only conservative Christian girl, now young woman, among my peers. As I’ve gotten older, this feeling has become more of a reality… and even more so over the past few months. Thankfully, I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Today I came across a post on Woman to Woman Ministries Continue reading
I typically try to steer clear of talking about politics on my blog, because I really get no enjoyment from it, but I do have to say this…
I’m about ready to delete Facebook and Twitter because of all the fighting/political posts I see on my news feed.
The best answer would be to just delete/unfollow the people I’m seeing these posts from, and I have done that with quite a few, but there are some important people Continue reading
First, you’re best friends with the boy next door. Then he ditches you for the popular crowd. Then he gets arrested for fighting and permanently scarring Skip Taylor, and the Taylors are practically royalty in Bonneville.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, like, a year? So I’ve decided that this year I’ll do a “Currently/What’s Happening Wednesday” post on the second Wednesday of each month to let you all know what I’ve been up to. You can join too by linking up with me each month through the InLinkz link at the end of the post or post your link in the comments! Continue reading
My first book of the year was Wake Up Happy by Michael Strahan. I got this for Christmas and I thought it’d be a good book to start the new year off with.
Wake Up Happy is part memoir and part self-help. As Strahan talks about certain events in his life he mentions what he learned from the experience and how he has applied it to his life later on. There are 18 Strahan Rules, which are essentially Continue reading
I saw this prompt on two different blogs I follow, and while I was originally going to wait and do this post for my birthday to add one extra item… I’ve decided that I’m too impatient to wait another five months for this post. So you’re getting it now.
What is the prompt? Continue reading
I’m going to be honest, I’ve heard of The Chainsmokers, but I’m not a fan. Still, I’m going to do this tag because for one, it’s a book tag, and two, I was tagged by Continue reading
Happy New Year everyone!
I know a lot of people have been looking forward to the start of a new year for many different reasons. I’m excited for a new set of goals, new challenges, and whatever else comes my way this year. Even though I’m sure there will be storms I’ll go through this year, because we all do, I’m going to lean on God more and trust Him to give me strength to get through them.
I didn’t get to start the new year like I wanted to Continue reading
