Quotes I Love

It’s getting close to the end of the month, and the alphabet for the A to Z Challenge!  I’m excited that I’ve made it this far without missing a day of posting!  I have to say, going by the alphabet has given me some good specks of content and it’s helping me to be more observant in what I can use for blog topics.

So today we’ve hit the letter “Q” and of course my first thought was ‘Quiet’.  Then I saw the word ‘quote’ and thought, ‘Yep!  That will work better!’  So here’s a list of some of my favorite quotes.

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.” – C.S. Lewis

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” – Oscar Wilde

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” – Robert Frost

“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” – Mark Twain

“If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” – J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

“Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.” – Oscar Wilde

“‘Classic’ – a book which people praise and don’t read.” – Mark Twain

“I can’t imagine a man really enjoying a book and reading it only once.” – C.S. Lewis

“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.” – Dr. Seuss

“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies.  The man who never reads lives only one.” – George R. R. Martin, A Dance With Dragons

So these are just ten of my favorite quotes, but trust me, there are more.  Some quotes are inspirational and others are just funny.  I went with a more serious/inspirational path with these quotes today.  Maybe someday I’ll do a post listing my favorite funny quotes.

What are some of your favorite quotes?  Did I happen to list any?

I like anything mark twain says because he always to the point and funny too. I actually have lists of quotes that I use for my blog which I change every so often.

A recent quote that I find rather useful is this : “Expect problems and eat them for breakfast.” – Alfred A. Montape

    have a lovely day.

I’m a quote fanatic! Thanks for sharing these… the George R. Martin quote used to hang on the wall in my English Classroom, but I’m thrilled to have new quotes to add to my list!

I love that George R.R. Martin one! It makes me feel better about all the reading I do! Lol. I actually have a C.S. Lewis one that I didn’t list here hanging on my bedroom wall.

I love the Oscar Wilde quote. Of course, sometimes it’s hard to determine who “yourself” is especially in writing. Thanks for giving me something to think about… :)

    With Love,
    Mandy
