Last night was the Radio Disney Music Awards and though I don’t normally watch award shows, I had to watch this one.  Why?  The answer is right there in the title.  During the show they opened with the world premiere of the music video for the song ‘Ways to be Wicked’ and followed with the premiere of the trailer for Descendants 2.

And, oh. my. gosh.

But I’ll let you decide for yourself.

Guys, I am even more excited for this film to come out now than when I first found out it was going to be released this summer!  First of all, blonde Mal???  WHAT?  That is freaking awesome and I want to find out why that is – like did she dye it to fit into Auradon better or was she told to?  Did it just grow out blonde now that she’s in Auradon?  So many questions and I have to wait two and a half months for answers (ugh!).

At first I wasn’t digging Mal and Carlos’ new hairstyles (Mal’s purple one, that is), but after seeing it on a consistent basis since the first photos were released, I’m starting to like the new styles more than their hair in the first film.  It definitely makes both characters look older.

As for the music video, it’s not the best thing ever, but it’s fun to watch.  I wasn’t really expecting there to be a music video for the song, and I’m still trying to figure out if this is separate from the film.  I’m guessing it is because it does have more of a music video feel than just a music performance clip from the movie.  But I guess we’ll see what happens.
