Okay, so I did a list of books I want to reread this year, but I think it’s time to give the movies some love.  I have always been a fan of movies, but lately not as much because there never seems to be any that I’m interested in anymore.  Even continuations of movies I enjoyed (like Pirates or the Avengers) I just haven’t been into.

But it seems like 2017 is trying to bring my love of movies back with a few coming out early this year.  One is a remake (sort-of) and two are based off of books, but still… the trailers for them all look great and I think the movies will actually do some justice.

1. The Lego Batman Movie

I did not see The Lego Movie, even though I’ve heard that it’s good – it just never interested me.  However, a few months ago one of my friends showed me the trailer for this one, and I definitely want to see it at some point!  It looks like a funny movie that might even be better than The Lego Movie.  But that’s just me.

2. Beauty and the Beast

Okay, so I think just about everyone wants to see this movie for two reasons – one, it’s a live-action film of a classic Disney movie, and two, Emma Watson.  Though it will be hard as a Harry Potter fan to see her as anyone but Hermione, I have no doubt that she is going to dominate this role and that I’ll end up loving this movie more than the original.

3. The Circle

Oh hey, another Emma Watson movie.  I found this trailer from a blogger I follow on Twitter and really cannot wait to see this movie.  It’s based off a book, so naturally I want to read the book first (and I have time since it’s not coming out until April).  I can’t say for sure, but I think I might actually enjoy the movie more than the book (gasp!).  Of course, that’s solely based on this trailer and reading a few pages of the book one day at the bookstore.

4. The Shack

Another movie adaptation of a book, but one that I’m looking forward to.  I’ve had the book sitting on my shelf since June, so I really need to get around to reading it, but I have no doubts that I’ll like it since a few girls at work have told me it’s amazing.  I’m also excited for this movie because a few of us at work are already trying to plan a time to see it when it comes out.  So I guess I’d better get cracking and read that book!

5. Pitch Perfect 3

I recently saw that this was coming out and I’m pretty excited for it.  I literally just saw the first two within the past four months for the first time and I loved them!  There were parts for each that I loved better than the other, but overall both movies were awesome.  So I can’t wait to see what antics will happen in the third movie!

6. The Boss Baby

I might not be as excited for this movie as the others, but it looks cute and funny, and sometimes that’s all you need for a movie.  There’s really not much to say other than I think the baby is going to remind me a lot of Snowball in The Secret Life of Pets, so I’m pretty sure I’ll get a kick out of that character.

Overall, I’d have to say I’m most excited for The Circle, Beauty and the Beast, and The Shack.
