Hi strangers! It’s been a while.
I was planning to announce a short hiatus from my blog because I’m just burnt out from everything that’s been going on lately, but then I never got around to doing it. So here is just an update on what’s been going on in my life these last few weeks.
Snowstorms – We’ve gotten three nor’easters in two weeks and supposedly another one is hitting us later today, but we’ll see what happens. This one is more iffy than others. Either way, I’m so done with the snow.
Moving – I moved, again. Unfortunately it’s a downsize from the last place we were in, so we had to get rid of a lot of things (which isn’t always a bad thing). Still, I’d like to try to get rid of more stuff before we move to North Carolina (hopefully sometime next year). Also, never move in the winter. It sucks. It really freaking sucks.
School – Yes, school is still a thing, but I’ve been blessed with low-key assignments in my current classes that are spaced out very nicely. Luckily I only have a month left before this semester is over, then I will have four months of freedom until the fall semester. Next week I’ll be registering for those fall classes… yay.
Stress – Moving when you have to work and do homework is one thing, but doing it when you get hit with snowstorms every week is just…
During our big moving day, I couldn’t find one of my cats and freaked out because I thought she got out so I spent about half an hour looking for her until I finally found her in this crook under our kitchen counter that I’d looked in earlier but didn’t see her. I was a mess during that time.
Secret Project – I’ve been working on something that I will be announcing in time, but I cannot say for sure when. I want to wait to make the announcement when I’m nearly finished because nothing is worse than announcing something and then never finishing it and telling everyone that you’ve given up on it. I do have an accountability buddy for this project who is probably just as excited about it as I am, so I do think this is something I will be able to accomplish. But for now, it’s a secret to everyone but her and my best friend.
And that is what y’all have missed on in the life of Tabby. Just a lot of stress basically, which was why I couldn’t find the brain-space to write on my blog. And honestly, I think my writing on here will be sporadic until the semester is over and I’m fully used to the new apartment.
Just to give y’all a heads up.

Sounds like an intense time! Moving is always stressful but it feels so good when you get all unpacked and sit down with that first book in your new digs :)
