I apologize for not posting in a few weeks, but I was pretty tied up with a mess of final school work and dealing with some issues with a professor to even think about writing on here. Heck, I’ve barely read in the past two weeks.
Thankfully, it’s over. I’m done with my first semester of grad school and only have three more to go! It’s going to be a long year and a half, isn’t it? Then again, maybe not.
Anyway, with only a week left before Christmas, I figured I should share the music I’ve been listening to in my free time (which I have a lot of for the next three weeks). I’m proud to say that with the power of Christmas music, I have gotten all my shopping and wrapping done!
Christmas Songs I’ve Been Listening To
O Come, All Ye Faithful – Pentatonix
I love the tribal feel they give to the song. It’s so catchy!
Silent Night Medley – Hanson
O Holy Night – *N Sync (also versions by Glee Cast and MercyMe)
I am in love with *N Sync’s a cappella version of this song! Of course, there are a ton of good versions, but this one is my favorite this year. Last year it was the version by MercyMe. Still, I’m listening to it by a bunch of artists and loving every version.
Last Christmas – WHAM! (also versions by Glee Cast and Hilary Duff)
I’m actually listening to the Glee Cast version the most, but that’s due to the faster-pace of the song and Lea and Cory’s vocals.
That’s Christmas To Me – Pentatonix
I adore this song (and video) so much. This group is just amazing.
All I Want For Christmas Is You – The Girl and the Dreamcatcher
I can’t even say I’m sorry that I prefer this version over Mariah Carey’s. It’s sad that Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan are no longer making music together after they split, but these things happen. They are adorable in this video and you cannot deny it.
The Little Drummer Boy – Pentatonix
Why are they so good????
You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch – Jim Carrey
A) I love this movie. B) I love Jim Carrey singing this song!
Carol of the Bells
Chilling, right?
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays – *N Sync
A fun holiday song for all to enjoy! I also love the cover of this song done by Pentatonix (duh).
Mary Did You Know? – Pentatonix
UGH! They are just amazing on this one!
And other than these songs, there are the classic songs from the movies – Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Holly Jolly Christmas – as well as the actual classics – Blue Christmas, Baby It’s Cold Outside, and more.
Like, a lot more.
What songs have you been listening to for the Christmas season?
I was so excited to see Hanson and NSYNC!! I still have a special place in my heart for them!
I love the Nsync ones!! There’s more of them that I didn’t even list (that I should’ve)
Just listened to most of these – thanks! Nothing can beat Pentatonix though. They are just amazing.
They are. What they do is just… wow.
