Lil’ Missy Has a Name

As you know, we recently found out that one of our kittens is a female.  At first, we were going to keep her name as Charlie, since it could have been short for Charlotte, but it wasn’t settling right with me.  I guess it wasn’t with my mom either, because she was thinking about finding a new name for Charlie.

It came down to two names – Luna or Lexi.  Overall, Luna won.

I’m actually happy that when I got home after work my mom said that the kitten’s name was going to be Luna.  For one, I’m terrible at making decisions, and two, the Sailor Moon reference that comes with the name!

Now I finally have a cat that represents my childhood!  And I’m telling y’all right now, I am dressing up this cat for Halloween and putting a crescent moon on her forehead!  I’ll have no regrets!  Heck, I might even have to find myself a sailor scout costume for work!

That’s actually not a bad idea, but we’ll see.

Anyway, I know a lot of people were saying that we shouldn’t change the name, but we just couldn’t work with Charlie since we had originally thought of that as the name when we thought she was a male cat.  Plus, now we’ve been calling her Luna-Tune and I love that nickname too much to get rid of it now.

If I don’t post over the next day or two, I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah (or whatever holiday you celebrate)!

This is adorable! I wish I would have gotten into Sailor Moon! I mean, I still could… I just need to look into it more 😄

It’s a cute little anime. Though it’s also a little corny, now that I’m older, but that doesn’t stop me from watching it every now and then! Haha :D
