I consider my weekend to be Sunday and Monday, as those are my two days off from work.  So yes, I’m one of those people that go, “I work Saturdays,” when people are saying, “Thank God it’s Friday!”  Thankfully I only work a few hours on Saturdays and I’m out by three… so I still have some daylight to enjoy (in the summer anyway).

This weekend I finally got together with my best friend.  It’s been a few months since we’ve seen each other, and since my birthday was earlier this month, we wanted to get together.  We met up at a shopping plaza, had lunch, and spent six hours browsing around; though most of it was in Barnes & Noble.  I did end up buying a book, Adulthood is a Myth, right before we left.  It was a slight impulse buy, but to be fair, I was considering getting this book a few weeks ago.

I know a lot of the comics have been seen around social media, but it’s fun to have them right there when you’re not online.  I was flipping through it before work and laughing so hard at some of them because of how relatable they are.

And of course, now I want the second Sarah’s Scribbles book, Big Mushy Happy Lump.

Then yesterday was a weird day.  I was just mentally checked out and could not focus on anything.  For instance, I wanted to take some more photos for my bookstagram account, but I just couldn’t do it.  So after I did laundry (which I finished before 9am) I played Sims 3 on my Xbox for a few hours.  After failing to get into the picture-taking process, I finally decided to start watching Riverdale on Netflix and I only wish I had started it earlier!

My gosh… that show has me hooked!  Unfortunately season one only has thirteen episodes and I think I watched five or six yesterday.  So it’s probably a good thing I didn’t start watching it until later in the day, otherwise I would’ve finished the entire season yesterday!  I’m just happy that I’ll have season two to look forward to, and that the show wasn’t canceled after only one season.

I hate it when that happens.

And that was my weekend in a nutshell.  It was a lot of fun catching up with my best friend on Sunday and yesterday was a nice relaxing day (it helped that it was overcast and rainy).
