Happy blizzard day guys!
Well, for those of us who are impacted by this lovely force of nature. Knowing that there was a snowstorm coming, I planned on knocking out that reorganizing my bookshelves goal off my list, but guess what? I did that yesterday!
I ended up with some free time before work and decided to just go for it. I kind of knew what I wanted to do anyway, so why not get it done as soon as possible?
When I got that illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban I knew right away I wanted to make the top a Harry Potter display. I thought briefly about combining the paperbacks and hardcovers to organize them all by author (like the library), but I can’t deal with the difference in heights. Even though there are a few differences, most of the books on that shelf are the same height. It just looks nicer that way.
My other bookshelf is little more chaotic in terms of books being mixed in height and type (paperback or hardcover), but there isn’t much I can do about that. To make the shelf look a little nicer I pulled the books toward the front to line them up evenly, and I took the real small books and put them up on the tiny shelf.
And now I can say I already completed one of my goals for the year. Yay!
Ooooh! I love your top-shelf Harry Potter display. It’s so pretty! :)
Thank you!! I wasn’t sure what to do up there, but when I got the Illustrated edition of the third book for Christmas, I knew I wanted it “on display” :D
